Do you want to do research at Kristineberg Center, or know somebody that would?
Apply for the IRISCC grant latest 28 November 2025!

Deadline: 28/11/2025

Apply to IRISCC current call, deadline 28 November 2025. If accepted, you will receive €2000 to cover full access to Kristineberg Center for Marine Research and Innovation, including travel and accommodation. As part of IRISCC, Kristineberg Center grants researchers Transnational Access (TNA) to our facility including natural coastal habitats, research vessels, diving facilities, sampling gear, laboratories, and experimental aquaria. The location is fabulous, on a rocky island in the mouth of the Gullmarn Fjord on the Swedish West Coast. The EU-funded initiative IRISCC (Integrated Research Infrastructure Services for Climate Change Risks) connects researchers to a network of advanced interdisciplinary European research infrastructures (RIs) that span both terrestrial and aquatic environments. These infrastructures provide observational platforms, experimental setups, modelling tools, and integrated data systems, all aimed at fostering innovation in climate change adaptation and mitigation. To apply for access, researchers are asked to prepare a concise proposal describing the research background, objectives, and reasons for selecting the specific access provider. Before submission, it is important to discuss the project idea with us to ensure that the planned work is practical and well supported. Each proposal will undergo evaluation, considering not only its scientific rationale and relevance, but also the feasibility of carrying it out within the available facilities. The application deadline is 28 November 2025. What is covered? €2000 to pay for full access Kristineberg, travel & accommodation. That equals 2-3 weeks of research at Kristineberg Center including lodging, depending on your preferences.
