Spatial Data Infrastructure

The REDRESS Spatial Data Infrastructure follows the Open Science and FAIR Principles that drive beneficiaries to make their research data Findable, Accessible Interoperable and Re-usable, fostering the exchange of scientific data, and leading to knowledge discovery and innovation. The two main user interfaces are:

  • Geoportal: it is the key sharing point where partners and the public can visualize and navigate the collected spatial data during the project, and a synthesis of the past and current knowledge on deep-sea habitats’ degradation.
  • Metadata catalogue: REDRESS products are described with ISO 19115-compliant forms, findable through a dedicated metadata catalogue, providing information such as authors, sources, keywords, extent, data policy, link for download, and digital identifiers.
